Day 8: Where did you spend money?

Let me start off by saying that I'm totally blessed with awesome parents.  When I say that I spent money on something, chances are, it wasn't my money.  Working camp for ten weeks and then being a school photographer doesn't exactly rake in the dough.  I take for granted so much that my parents still willingly pay for my gas, food, and pretty much anything else in my life.

Now on to the actual prompt...

I'm a lot like my dad...I like good food, and I don't mind paying for it.  Anytime there is a chance to try something new or go somewhere good, I'm in!  My debit card is used more in restaurants than anywhere else. There are two specific places that I can't seem to stay away from...

Chickfila

If there is a possibility to be addicted to a specific food, I need to go to rehab for Chickfila nuggets, waffle fries, and polynesian sauce.   I first realized my love for Chickfila on the Singers spring tour.  Throughout the week long tour, I ate at a Chickfila six times.  It only got worse during the summer when I was on a team with fellow Chickfila junkies.  Now, it's one of my favorite places to have one-on-one quality time with friends.

Cups

This is my new obsession since sophomore year has started.  Cups is this really awesome Jackson-owned coffee shop that's a quick walk from campus.  I have spent almost every other afternoon here.  It's such a pick-me-up being in a cool environment usually having very intentional conversation with people every day.  I also feel super intellectual studying at tables near quality people like Brett Barlow, Rebecca Moore, Marianna Fountain, Erin Haynes, Stephanie McLaughlin, Helen Turner, Dakota Bibbs, and all the other regulars here.  Not to mention, the coffee is amazing.  $1.44 student coffee?  Nothing better.

I also have gotten the opportunity to travel like crazy, which has taken a pretty big chunk of change.  In May, I was in South Africa for two weeks.  In January, I'll be in London.  I'm definitely blessed to be able to have gotten the funds to experience that.
